This 1 hour multimedia presentation followed by a 30 minute
Q & A session is designed to raise awareness of the
dangers to children and families of the Internet and
emerging technologies and provide practical home
strategies for parents.

Ideal for PTA’s, clubs and church groups.

Topics include: protecting children from Internet predators;
how to combat Internet pornography; on-line scams and
fraud; illegal downloads and their consequences; and
academic honesty and plagiarism.  Participants receive a
“Parent Survival Handbook” and a CD containing free and
trial versions entitled “Software Tools for Parents”.

Two age-sensitive programs for children:
5th and 6th grade (ages 10-12)
7th Through 9th grade (ages 13-15)

This kid centered program explores ways children can
protect themselves in chat rooms and on-line from Internet
predators, scams, bullying and dangerous sites. The
program emphasizes safe surfing practices, properly
maintaining profiles and buddy lists and tips on spotting
suspicious on-line activity. Other topics include using the
Internet as a wise consumer, intellectual and academic
honesty.

Workshops for individual classes or school assemblies are
designed to be 1 1/2 hours with a 30 minute Q& A session.
Follow up lesson plan materials for teachers are provided to
be used to reinforce the workshop.


Inspect Your Gadgets For Teachers

A flexible in-service program for teachers.
Full and half day workshops provide tools to combat Internet
predators, on-line pornography, spy ware, malware, scams,
on-line homework, cyber-bullying, academic honesty and
identity theft. Emphasis is placed on practical solutions that
can be incorporated into the curriculum as part of an over-
all media literacy program. As a former teacher and certified
media specialist in Pennsylvania, Mr. Brannon provides
valuable insights to teachers and administration.
