Stage Right School for the Performing Arts has collaborated with Ray
Brannon to produce two community outreach shows with its student actors
to highlight the dangers of the Internet and new technology. Under the
direction of Tony Marino, the artistic director of Stage Right, the 1 hour
shows
"Dumb Things to do With Your Computer" and "F2F (Face to
Face) "
target a grade school, middle school and junior high audiences.

"Dumb Things to do with Your Computer" is a humorous presentation
showing the consequences of illegal downloads, cuber bullying, reckless
surfing, dangerous cyber-encounters, giving up personal information,
academic dishonesty and other real dangers that include Internet freebies,
pop-up ads, virus, worms and Trojan horses.
The presentation central
theme is that actions have consequences that can be dangerous
to the student and their family.
The performance content is tailored to
be age and grade specific with variations on the theme to suit the audience.

"F2F (Face to Face) is a dramatic presentation that targets the age group
most vulnerable to Internet Predators: 12 to 15 year olds. In the show a
susceptible girl begins a dangerous Internet liaison that her brother tries to
stop. The show concludes with the student actors showing the dangerous
consequences from real life stories in multimedia format. The show is a
perfect complement to the award winning game
"Missing" that can be
included in the school education program that meets state education
guidelines for technology and health.
"Ooops - I did a bad thing!"
"He wants to meet me alone at
the mall!"
